Electrostatic coating equipment electrophoresis coating process, accompanied by electrolysis, electrophoresis, electrodeposition, electroosmosis and other four kinds of electrochemical physics phenomenon, these phenomena are briefly described as follows:
Electrolysis: any kind of conductive liquid that breaks down when it is energized. It is called electrolysis. As is known to all, electrolysis of water can be broken down into hydrogen and oxygen. General electrolysis is accompanied by the escape of gases on one or two electrodes, and oxidation and reduction reactions are carried out on the electrodes respectively. In the electrophoresis process, water is electrolyzed, and hydrogen is released on the cathode, oxygen is released at the anode, and the metal anode dissolves and dissolves metal ions.
Electrophoresis: electrostatic coating equipment in a conductive medium charged colloidal particles, under the action of electric field, with positive charge, colloidal resin particles and pigment particles moved from the electrophoresis process to the cathode.
Electrodeposition: the precipitation of lacquer particles on an electrode is called electrodeposition. In cathodic electrophoretic painting, positively charged particles coalesce on the cathode, and negatively charged particles (ions) accumulate at the anode. The first step in electrodeposition is electrochemical decomposition of water (electrolysis). If the bath is PH neutral, the initial reaction at the cathode is the formation of hydrogen and hydroxyl ions (OH-), the reaction resulting in high alkaline boundary layer on the surface of the cathode region, the cation (resin and pigment) and hydroxide ion reaction into the deposition of insoluble film is produced.
Just to be the film deposition: electro coated on the surface of the semi permeable membrane, in the continuous electric field, with the water film from the film during dialysis to bath, the coating of dehydration, this phenomenon is called electroosmosis. Electro osmosis makes hydrophilic coating change into hydrophobic coating, and dehydration makes coating film compact. Electrophoretic paint with good electroosmosis, wet coating film coated by swimming can be touched without sticking hands, and water can be washed out with bath liquid adhered to wet coating film.
